SCHOCK Metallwerk: Moving since 1971
1971 – On October 1, 1971, the new metal plant in Urbach was opened, at that time still part of the Schorndorf company. The plant specialized in ball-bearing telescopic slides, decorative metals, and drawer runners for the furniture industry. Even then, more than 1,200 employees were working across multiple locations.
1978 – On July 1, 1978, the Urbach plant became legally independent and began operating as Schock Metallwerk GmbH under the leadership of Hermann and Richard Schock. This milestone laid the foundation for the company’s growth as an independent player in the metal processing industry. In the years that followed, Schock established itself as a reliable partner for both industry and trade.
2002 – Schock Metallwerk GmbH expanded globally and restructured into five strategic business units: Home Appliances, Automotive, Living & Storage, Industry, and Trade. This diversification opened new international markets and significantly strengthened the company’s global competitiveness.
2019 – In Liepāja, Latvia, a state-of-the-art assembly plant was opened, where all SCHOCK® telescopic slides are completed. The facility operates under the highest quality standards, with rigorous final quality control ensuring consistent premium product quality.
2021 – A modern logistics center was established in Schopfloch, Germany, optimizing worldwide shipping coordination and ensuring efficient, on-time delivery to customers across all continents. This facility represents a key milestone in the company’s global logistics strategy.
2023 – The logistics center in Schopfloch was expanded with a state-of-the-art powder coating plant. In addition, a new warehouse equipped with photovoltaic panels delivering 380 kW of power was built. These investments strengthen sustainability and support future growth. By using photovoltaics, CO₂ emissions were significantly reduced, while operating costs were lowered.

Quality
Schock Metallwerk GmbH is ISO 9001 certified and consistently applies the principles of Total Quality Management (TQM) across all divisions. This comprehensive quality approach ensures that every process is carefully planned, controlled, and continuously optimized — delivering maximum efficiency and consistently high product quality.
By integrating advanced control systems into all production and workflow processes, the SCHOCK® Group ensures that every product meets the highest quality requirements. The focus is on proactive error prevention to achieve virtually flawless results. Zero-defect production is not just a goal — it is an integral part of our daily operations.
Regular customer audits are a key component of our quality management system. These audits foster transparent communication and guarantee that customer requirements are consistently met. In addition, preventive quality assurance measures are implemented early in the production process to identify and eliminate potential errors before they impact the final product.
Through this systematic approach, SCHOCK® has built a solid foundation for delivering innovative, high-quality telescopic slides that meet the strictest industry standards.
Sustainability
SCHOCK® places the highest priority on environmental responsibility and sustainability. We consistently pursue sustainable production practices and continuously work to minimize our environmental impact.
Our products are defined by their durability and maintenance-free design – qualities that extend product lifespan and significantly reduce the ecological footprint. By using environmentally friendly materials and developing long-lasting telescopic slide solutions, we actively contribute to conserving resources and protecting the environment.
The SCHOCK® Group is committed to driving sustainable innovations and acting responsibly for the future. Our goal is to continuously reduce the ecological footprint of our telescopic slide production while contributing to long-term environmental preservation.
By completing the EcoVadis sustainability assessment, we have taken an important step toward evaluating and improving our performance. Our goal is to transparently demonstrate our environmental and social responsibility to customers and partners worldwide.

One Corporate Group. One Promise.
We Rely on In-House Production and a Seamless Supply Chain
Ensuring Quality You Can Trust
The manufacturing process begins with the production of our tools in the in-house toolmaking department. The production of our telescopic slides is carried out entirely in-house, providing maximum flexibility, cost efficiency, and complete control over every detail.
Every manufacturing step is subject to strict testing processes, ensuring that each telescopic slide meets the highest standards of dimensional accuracy, load capacity, and functionality demanded by our customers.
